Slovenské Bazény is an independent guide to swimming pools and places to swim across the United Kingdom. We bring together pools, lidos, leisure centres and open water in one place, with clear, honest information to help you find somewhere to swim near you and enjoy the water safely.
Our mission
We believe everyone should be able to find a place to swim easily, wherever they live. Our aim is to map the UK's swimming venues clearly and keep the information practical and trustworthy, alongside straightforward guidance on water safety. We are not affiliated with any pool operator, governing body or commercial chain, which lets us describe each venue plainly and without bias.
How the guide is built
The directory draws on open data and publicly available information, combined with editorial care. We focus on getting the basics right: where a pool is, what kind of water it offers and how to plan a visit. Where details change, we update them. The safety and lessons advice on the site reflects established guidance from recognised national organisations rather than personal opinion.
Honesty and independence
We do not publish invented statistics, fake reviews or pay-to-feature listings. If we are unsure about a detail, we would rather leave it out than mislead you. Listings are included on merit, and our safety information points you towards authoritative sources such as the RNLI, RLSS UK and Swim England so you can check the original advice for yourself.
Help us improve
A directory like this is never finished. Pools open, close and change their opening hours, and only with help from the people who use them can we keep it accurate.
